| Jimmy Murphy is one of the most sought-after Irish-style
guitarists and mandolinists in Southern California. He
grew up in a house full of music in Anaheim Hills,
California, and learned to play rock
and roll on his guitar. Jimmy came to traditional music
after picking up an old fiddle, and since then he has shared
the stage with a number of highly respected players of
Irish music including Pat O'Connor, Dale Russ and Tom
Creegan. In 2001, he traveled to Japan, where he spent
close to two years working as a musician for the Walt Disney
company and Universal Studios. Jimmy teaches guitar and
mandolin to students in the Los Angeles area. |
